More buckets anyone??

Word of mouth and your products is the best advertising.

After making this bag - a friend of my friend noticed, commented, liked, emailed and purchased.

I wish sales were always this easy.

Here is a little peek of the finished product.

Double Figures

Happy Birthday to my Adrian  - a big 10 this month - Double Digits

A tradition that we have started for our family is a weekend away with just dad and mum for your 10th Birthday. Being a large family it's great to have some quality time with just one child. Also included is a trip on a plane. Adrian chose to go to Brisbane.

We had a great time.

We visited the Queensland Museum on Southbank - www.qm.qld.gov.au/

We also spent plenty of time eating, swimming, relaxing in the spa, we also did a bit of birthday $$ shopping.

As we were actually away on Adrians birthday we had a family dinner and cake when we returned. Another tradition for us is a cake of your choice. Here is Adrians

Club Penguin Orange Puffle
I'd love to hear if your family has any birthday traditions.

My Baby is now 2

A big Happy Birthday to my baby boy Harry - he was the big 2 yesterday.

As the older children are off to school, we usually have presents in the morning after breaky and everyone is dressed and ready.
Harry's favourite gift was a .............

..... guitar. He has not stopped playing it. And would rather play than eat. He should get hungry soon :)

After the preschool and school pick up we headed to the park for some afternoon tea and a play. This park also has Australian Animals to look at. Harry loves it - wombats, wallabies, koalas and plenty of birds.

We finished the day off with a simple family dinner of baked bean chilli, salsa, rice and corn chips. Then it was cake time.

Harry is a fan of In the Night Garden and especially Iggle Piggle. I think he was too tired by the end of the day and wasn't keen for cake. :( Don't tell anyone but I'll offer him some for lunch today.

A bag for me ...... finally

Over the last few months I have done a lot of sewing but for others and the markets but not really anything personal for me. As I had a bag to make for a friend I decided to make one for me too. I have had some fabric picked out for a while so it what really nice to use it.

A Bucket Bag for me

I used the same pattern as i did for this bag but stuck with the standard design - just added a magnetic snap to close the main part of the bag. I'm really happy with it.

This pattern and others are available on etsy from Keyka Lou - their patterns are really easy to use.

Laura Gunn - Big Poppy in Spice

Internal Pocket and Magnetic Snap

These labels I use are great. They iron on first so its easy to sew in place with no slipping. There are so many designs to choose from. Check them out here.

I have also linked to the following parties - wow there is some amazing people busy out there.
